Momentum School of Dance Dance

Attire

Dancers must have the appropriate attire for class time.

Please label all of your dancer's clothing and shoes with his or her last name.

 

Pre-Dance and Minis: (Age 2-6) Any color leotard and tights. Pink Ballet Shoes. Black tap shoes (for ballet and tap combo classes) Hair secured up and away from face.

 

Ballet: (Ages 7+) Black leotard, black undergarments, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be secured in a bun.
 

Jazz: Leotard, tights & tan jazz shoes. Form-fitting shorts may be worn over leotard. Hair secured up and away from face.
 

Musical Theatre: Leotard, tights & tan jazz shoes. Form-fitting shorts may be worn over leotard. Hair secured up and away from face
 

Lyrical: Leotard, tights & half ballet tan shoes. Form-fitting shorts may be worn over leotard. Hair secured up and away from face
 

Tap: Comfortable clothing & black tap shoes. Pants may be worn but must be shorter than ankle length. Hair must be secured and off of the face. Socks or tights must be worn.

Ages 5-6 Black Mary Jane style tap shoes. Tie taps will only be allowed without shoelaces and a secure closure

Ages 7 & up Black lace up tap shoes. 
 

Hip Hop: Athletic clothing. Hair secured out of the dancer's face.

Ages 4-7 Tan jazz shoes- Girls, Black Jazz Shoes- Boys

Ages 8+ White, clean athletic shoes, no outdoor sneakers. 

 

Boys: White or Black fitted shirt, Fitted leggings or sweatpants. Black Ballet Shoes, Black Jazz Shoes, Black Tap Shoes.

 

(Warm up clothing may be worn in some classes for the first 15 minutes of class. Please see your instructor for proper warm up attire: Sweats, leg warmers, dance sweaters, etc.) 

******Logo wear, leotards, tight and shoes may be purchased at Momentum School of Dance 


 

Shoe Credit

 

Momentum School of Dance will accept your slightly used dance shoes for donation or for credit. Dance Shoes that are in good condition will be accepted into our shoe stock for resale.

For each pair of shoes that you bring in, we will add a $5 credit to your student’s tuition account.
